Who this policy covers

This policy explains what information Mason City Concrete collects when you use our website, what we do with it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do about it. We're a concrete contractor in Mason City, IA, and this site exists so homeowners can learn about our work and ask us for an estimate.

It covers this website, from the home page to every service and city page, and the messages you send us through it. It doesn't cover other websites we link to, which have their own policies.

What information we collect

We collect what you choose to give us when you fill out our estimate form, call us or email us. That's usually your name, phone number, email address, the address of the property where the work would happen and a description of the job, such as a cracked driveway or a new patio.

When you browse the site, some information is collected automatically. This can include your device type, browser, the pages you visit, how long you stay and the general area you're browsing from. This information doesn't tell us your name.

We don't ask for payment card numbers, Social Security numbers or other sensitive details through this website, so please don't send them in a form or email.

How we use your information

We use your contact details to answer your request, set up a visit to look at the job, send you a quote and keep in touch about the work if you hire us. We use the property address because we need to see the site before we can price a slab or a driveway.

We use the browsing information to see which pages people find useful and to fix anything that isn't working, so the site gets easier to use over time.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't add you to a marketing list just because you asked for a quote.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Our site may use them to keep pages working properly and to count visits through an analytics service, which reports on traffic in summary form.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site should still work if you do, though some features may not behave quite the same.

Who we share it with

Our estimate form is run by an outside form service, which receives what you type and passes it to us. Our website host and analytics provider also handle some data so the site can run. These companies process information for us and aren't allowed to use it for their own purposes.

Beyond that, we share your information only when the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or if the business changes hands, in which case the new owner would be bound by this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your contact details and job notes for as long as we need them to quote and do the work, and afterward for our records, warranty questions and tax purposes. If you asked for a quote and didn't hire us, we delete or stop using your details once there's no reason to keep them.

Analytics data is kept in summary form by the analytics provider under its own retention settings.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. We'll do that unless we have to keep something by law or to finish a job you've hired us for.

Depending on where you live, your state may give you more privacy rights. We'll honor the ones that apply to you. To make a request, use the details on our Contact page, and we may need to confirm who you are before we act on it.

Children's privacy

This site is meant for adults arranging work on their property. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, and if we learn we have, we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our site or the services we use change. The current version is always on this page, and if you keep using the site after a change, the updated policy applies.

How to raise a privacy concern

If you have a question about your information or think we've handled it wrong, call us at (641) 548-3348 or reach us through our Contact page. We'll look into it and get back to you.

You can learn more about who we are and how we work on our About page.
